May 2008: A 44 y.o. woman with a huge retroperitoneal mass

History: A 44 y.o. woman complaining of right flank pain was found to have a large retroperitoneal mass arising adjacent to the right adrenal gland (Fig. 1). At surgery, a 4,250 gram, 25.0 x 18.0 x 10.0 cm well-circumscribed multinodular mass with firm yellow gray-tan lobulated cut surfaces was removed (Fig. 2).
